Our Reball Process
2nd Generation Heat Sinks Installed
Upgraded replacement 2nd generation heat sinks are installed and refit to the BGA chips with arctic silver thermal paste, and the xclamp repair is performed.
This item is covered by a 30 day warranty against " RROD " beginning the date your unit is received. The UPS proof of delivery will be used to establish the time frame. The warranty covers "RROD" issues only. Cosmetic and any other issues are not covered.
Your item will be shipped within one business day of receiving cleared payment via UPS, insurance included. Your shipping rate is calculated by UPS based on your zip code. Any loss or damages that may occur during shipping should be reported to us immediately, so that we may resolve the issue with UPS.
Your UPS tracking number will be viewable at the " Won " link of your " My Ebay " page.
We ship to verified Paypal shipping addresses only. Customer pick up is not offered at this time.
We prefer payment via Paypal within 24 hours of the end of auction. Payments are due within 3 days of auction closing, or the item may be removed from your order and sold to the next highest bidder or relisted. Transactions that are not completed by the buyer will go to the Ebay resolution center for closure.
We gladly accept qualified returns within 30 days after you receive your item. UPS proof of delivery is used to establish the time frame.
No returns will be accepted after this 30 day time frame, no exceptions.
Return Procedure:
Step one: Contact us via ebay e-mail or directly at respawnedelectronics@comcast.net to advise us that there is an issue with your unit and also to obtain an RMA number authorizing a return.
Step two: The RMA # we issue to you for your qualified return is valid for 5 business days only. Your return merchandise must be shipped back to us via UPS within 5 business days, or it will not be accepted and returned to you collect. Your return must be properly packaged and insured. Buyer pays the return shipping to the Service Center, and we will pay for the shipping back to the customer.
Step three: After receiving your item it will be inspected and diagnosed.
(A) If it is defective, we will either, in this order, repair, replace your console.
(B) If the unit is deemed not to be defective, or is merely a case of buyer remorse, a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to cover our costs such as ebay and paypal fees.
Items that do not qualify for a return:
The serial number of each unit we sell is recorded, and tamper-proof seals are in place. Units that are returned with the incorrect serial number or with the tamper-proof seals removed/tampered with, will be returned to the sender via UPS collect.
Any item that is opened or tampered with, gutted, dropped, abused, misused, lightning strike, bricked " or locked up, due to a failed firmware update on the customer's part.

By reducing the baffle interference, this cage mod increases the CFM, or volume of air removed, from the interior of the console reducing the amount of heat buildup. This helps protect your console from RROD.

It is common knowledge that the majority of red ring issues with Xbox 360's are due to overheating which eventually decays the solder connections between the BGA chips and the motherboard. See picture below.
We do not use the towel trick, heat gun trick, oven trick, or any other gimmick to repair Xbox 360 consoles. These fixes simply do not work, and if they do, the repair is extremely temporary at best.
Our refurbish procedure:
The graphics processor on this console was expertly "REBALLED" using a professional dark infra-red rework station. The GPU is removed, cleaned, and reballed.
The motherboard is baked to remove any warpage and the chip bed is cleaned to receive the reballed GPU chip.
The GPU is then re-attached to the motherboard on a monitored thermocoupled plate to re-seat the chip to the board. (See Picture Left).
New Solder Connections after GPU Re-attachment
Also, the disc drive is disassembled, cleaned, recalibrated, and the laser sled rails are lubricated to insure smooth operation.
The console cage standoffs are then sanded to reduce motherboard stress warpage.
The console is then re-assembled, thoroughly cleaned, inspected and tested, including updating the system blade and play on Xbox Live.
This procedure is the Gold Standard of Xbox 360 repair.
